Some good news about school meals. By Suzannah Wright

Good news today that school meal take up in primary schools is on the up. Take up in secondaries continues to fall, but at a slower rate than previously.

So a positive picture, plus the announcement of a funding injection to keep the improvements going.

But for those schools where take up is still falling, look out for the September issue of Ed Exec Secondary, which will feature an advice-filled article on meeting the SFT guidelines and encouraging healthy eating. And if your school is doing good work in this area I'd love to hear from you so we can share your expertise and experience with others.
