ASCL and Capita win fight for data

The Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) and Capita have been working with the Department for Education to ensure new academies have access to pupil data from the school in its previous existence.

According to ASCL, progress has been made in that the DfE has accepted that it is reasonable for schools to have access to this data.

ASCL is still working to change a ruling that pupils must be made to leave the 'old' school and join the 'new' one and hopes to resolve the issue shortly.
