League tables in England are set to be delayed as a result of the test marking problems that have affected this years exams.
Jim Knight has confirmed that he expects the publication of the tables to be put back as an affect of the marking problems and the appeals process.
The breakdown over LAs has not been released as some areas still have up to half of results missing.
"I think it's likely that they won't be published at the same time as last year - because we've got a review process that's open for people to submit for reviews until September," says Knight.
"That inevitably has consequences for the timetable and being able to publish school results," he continued.
Traditionally, primary league tables are published in December, with KS3 tables being produced in January.
