WorkinSchools offers free recruitment

The online social network solely for the education sector www.workinschools.co.uk has established itself and made the bold move of allowing state-funded schools to advertise jobs free on its website.
Jamie Wingrave Co-founder of WorkinSchools said "We all know that recruitment advertising for schools has become a monopolised market in the UK and we are working hard to ‘buck the trend' and save schools and local authorities money at a crucially important time".
Teachers are discouraged from using some of the most popular social networks because of the risks associated with pupil interaction outside of school, a need in the market for an online place for education professionals to interact and share experiences and support material was identified and www.workinschools.co.uk was born.
Schools, colleges and universities as well as people who work in education can network on the site while sharing teaching resources and creating a support network in the forums.
The WorkinSchools network offers totally free, unlimited recruitment advertising to state-funded schools, colleges and universities in the UK.
Simon Golding, co-founder of the WorkinSchools network said "No other service I know of provides free recruitment advertising to schools, not even the Schools recruitment service is totally free".
He added "In the current economic climate, if schools support and use the service on a nationwide basis, WorkinSchools could save the education sector millions of pounds in advertising costs. This saving could be allocated to reduce cuts in essential areas of the sector that really affect pupil's education".
WorkinSchools is able to offer schools free profiles and advertising on the network by charging a small membership to education recruitment agencies and other education bodies that serve and supply the sector.
The inclusion of teachers, support staff, schools, recruitment agencies and other education bodies all on the same network is another first for an education website. In the past other education sites have tended to concentrate on just one or two areas or specific groups of the sector. WorkinSchools strongly believe that in order to create a proper online education community you need all the different people, establishment and groups within the network to contribute equally in order to create a symbiotic environment.
